This painting depicts a Crocodile hunting a big Barramundi fish. Some Aboriginal clans eat Crocodiles and for others its a Tribal Totem. Barramundi are just one of the traditional foods for Aboriginal people of the top end. They are beautiful and sweet to eat. We know when the fish are getting fat and good to eat when the dragonflies come, which means the end of the wet season and the beginning of the run off and dry season.
